Wine Country Wedding: Part 2

Day two of our featured winery wedding!

It’s the special extra touches that make a wedding day truly unique.  Here, the couple displayed a chalkboard of the cocktail hour drinks.  We simply just added a few fresh florals to the board to soften the look, and tie in the colors of the day.

As guests entered the large lawn where the reception was to take place, Italian city postcards were used as escort cards to direct them to their tables.  Another personal touch I just loved!

Guests enjoyed dining at long banquet style tables.  Mismatched wine crates lined the center of the tables and displayed flowers in the cornflower blue to peach and subtle orange shades.

NACE Tabletop Design Contest: First Runner Up | Sacramento Wedding Florist

This past week we participated in a NACE (National Association of Catering Executives)  tabletop design contest held at the beautiful grounds of Wilson Vineyards.  Along with eleven other fabulous tabletops, our table was awarded first runner up by our peers and judges.  Each and every table was unique in itself, and it was a true treat to see some of Sacramento’s best talent under one roof!

Our team consisted of:

Aimee Wendell with Plan A Events:  Wedding and Corporate Planning.  Aimee had the vision for this tabletop.  She knew she wanted to use purples and greens and have a tall arrangement for the centerpiece.  With gold accents and green infused stemware, this table was decadent!  Aimee chose a light menu which would be fitted for an outdoor brunch.  Favors consisted of herb inspir

ed reed diffusers for guests to take home as a memento.

Patty Garanto with Simply Elegant Day:  Rentals of linens, chair covers, and tableware.  Patty provided the rich linens including a lilac underlay which “peeked” out of the moss crinkle finish overlay.  Gold chivari chairs and gold chargers tied the look together.

Botanica Floral Designs:  Florals, decor rentals.  This towering centerpiece canopied over guests seated below.  Hanging purple dendrobium orchids along with gold manzanita, crystals and glowing votives created an ambience of a wooded forest.  Purple lights peered out from the floral spray atop and below.  Interesting items used included: green lotus pods, purple allium, miniature purple phalenopsis orchids, purple carnations, and other purple accents.
