Courtyard D’Oro is a new wedding venue located in the historic Old Sacramento district.  With a courtyard towering with trees, vines and a calming fountain, it is a beautiful site for a wedding!

In house catering offers clients with a flexible menu and delicious entrees. With plenty of convenient accommodations nearby and a backdrop with endless possibilities for any photographer, this new venue is sure to turn heads!

Here’s a sneak peak of our Memorial Day wedding in Angels Camp, CA.  Nadine was referred to Botanica Floral Designs from her sister, who’s wedding we did just this past year.  Nadine’s family has a gorgeous property in the foothills, and made for a beautiful setting for this May wedding.  We’ll be back with more photos and vendors who took part.

Congratulations to Nicole & Raymond!  Even with the unexpected rain, this wedding was absolutely gorgeous!  Nicole and Raymond’s color palette included a striking teal color for their linens, complimented by deep red roses of the ‘Black Magic’ and ‘Black Bacara’ varieties.  Accents of gold and silver tower vases along with gold chivari chairs simply said elegance.  A timeline of events was set at each charger wrapped in the teal napkins.

The ceremony took place at the courtyard Villa at Arden Hills Resort.  Following the ceremony, guests moved to the reception held in the Heritage room where a dramatic atmosphere was created with the decor and awesome lighting provided by Premier Entertainment.

This past Sunday, I was fortunate enough to work with the very talented girls of Definition Beauty: Wendi Labban & Leslie Domingo.  These girls do just amazing make-up, and they are the sweetest!  Beth Anderson of Evocative Salon: Anderson Hair Designs out of Roseville created the hair styles which were gorgeous.

So what was the occasion?  The annual Global Hair and Beauty Expo was held at the Sacramento Convention Center where stylists and artists from around the world attended to see classes and view new products.  I had a chance to walk around and was impressed with the neat styles!

When I see other wedding vendors such as Wendi, Leslie and Beth actually teaching classes to other professionals it shows they have a passion, and they are definitely looked highly upon by others in their own business.  Congrats on a wonderful show!

If you happened to miss us at Cal Expo this past weekend, you missed out! Though the rain persisted, we had a great time meeting all of the wonderful brides to be.

Brown cymbidium orchids, dark red roses and a collar of pheasant feathers.  A custom stem wrap with a vintage broach makes this bouquet ultra chic!

This underwater centerpiece is fun!  Little bubbles cling to some of the orchids, and magnify the monkey tails.  Is that broccoli at the base?

Magenta phalenopsis orchids are paired with lime green brunia and bird’s nest greenery.  Small accents of a deep blue are added with pearl accents.

This purse is for the couture and mod flower girl.  Two rings are tied atop of this stylish accessory.
