We are excited to announce that Botanica Floral Designs has been asked to join the Style Me Pretty’s Little Black Book of Vendors!

Style Me Pretty is an ultra-chic blog maintained and created by the very talented serial blogger, Abby Larson.  With featured real weddings, including inspiration boards guests can create themselves, any bride planning a wedding is bound to have traveled and scoured this site for inspiration!  Noted as one of Martha Stewart’s favorite blogs, and taking notice in the Wall Street Journal’s  Blog Watch, Abby and her talented staff are on the cutting edge of everything new and modern.

The Little Black Book simply put by the Style Me Pretty website is:  ”filled to the brim with vendors that we’ve handpicked…those that are the most innovative, the most chic and the most approachable in their industry.”

We are honored to be a part of such an inspirational and recognized blog within the wedding industry, and look forward to continually exceeding our clients expectations and raising the bar with each event we so lucky to participate in!

Jessica + Max were married Labor Day weekend at Serrano Country Club in El Dorado Hills, CA.  Jessica’s vision for her flowers were Fall colors!  We incorporated Liquidambar leaves, ‘Black Magic’ roses, orange asiatic lilies, yellow tanecetum, green hydrangeas (a little twist), orange ‘Milva’ roses, seeded eucalyptus and curly willow to make a Fall wonderland.  We’ll have more shots at a later date, but here are just a few to share:

Sunday was a beautiful day in the foothills! Mindy + Matt were married at the gorgeous Young’s Vineyard in Plymouth, CA.  Along with Catriona of Arcularius Events, every detail was just perfect!  Mindy’s lace gown was simply stunning as she walked down her burlap aisle runner to the beautiful sound of Andrea Bocelli singing.

The florals were inspired by a country chic feel, very “airy” with vines and accents of cornflower blue and peaches.  King’s tables were lined with burlap runners, mason jars with votives and strung market lights to add to the ambience of the evening.

Just a few shots I took… We’ll be back with more of the pros photos later!

The most recent National Association of Catering Executives monthly meeting was held at the Gorgeous Le Rivage- Scott’s Seafood venue located on the Sacramento waterfront.  Shannon Hall, the on-site event coordinator paired up with Aimee Wendell of Plan A Events and myself to transform their white draped tent into a Summer soiree on the water!  From the appetizer plates to the vintage inspired glassware a top the tables, the colors were simply… too FUN!  Photographed by the very talented Jennifer Dunham with The Memory Journalists, here are some of my favorite shots:
